Within ochre skin

The story of all people

is sealed within ochre skin.

Those pale, with skin of soft moonlight

drive the histories published

in great volumes –

ruling with the sword and lance,

 and with time more subtle instruments,

now grand but incorporeal.

But all justice, mercy.

peace, and solidarity

is bound with ochre skin.

And the stories they contain are the

most essential.
