A thousand rainbow colors

A single shard
tells a tale
far beyond the
buoyant embrace
words supply

traced in toil
imbued with life
awoken from a crumbling tomb
to searing light
a collage of a thousand
rainbow colors!

day breaks –
rushing tide
clarity no soul
can live without

Breathing summer

Breathing summer
dappled sunlight like
black coffee,
bit by bit it filters through
to invigorate

every view stitched
into a quilt stored
in mind’s obscurity
brought out in
darker days
to warm one’s future
soul.

Everything else

Today is the first day of
the rest of your life;
said
as if
that is some sort
of profound
commencement wisdom

So comes the future
hurtling
at the speed of time
unavoidable unless
you have handy access
to a starship
that sees all space
relativistically

We exist
we have existed
and
we’re going to die;
everything else
is liable to change

Today is the first day
of the rest of everything else.
